This video is a public recording of the May 31, 2012 stakeholder forum on the proposed rule and document revisions for HUD’s Section 232 Program. The 232 Program provides mortgage insurance for residential care facilities such as assisted living and skilled nursing projects. As described in the Federal Register on May 3, 2012 (federalregister.gov the proposed rule would change the Code of Federal Regulations at 24 CFR Parts 5, 200, 207, and 232. At the same time a notice of proposed documents that mirror the proposed rule was also published for comment under the Paperwork Reduction Act (federalregister.gov This forum was an opportunity for interested stakeholders to provide informal comments and suggestions on the full scope of proposed program changes. All interested parties are encouraged to submit formal public comments as described in the Federal Register before the comment period for these items ends on July 2, 2012.
