Napoleon Harris — former NFL and Northwestern Football Player- recently filed his petitions as a candidate for Illinois State Senate in the 15th Senatorial District. The thirty-two year old native of Cook County played seven full seasons in the NFL following a stellar football career at Northwestern University. Napoleon Harris grew up in the tiny suburb of Dixmoor, Illinois. He was raised in a single parent household after the death of his father. His mother, Ms. Brenda Harris, instilled into Napoleon the values of citizenship and education. Harris attended Lincoln Elementary School, Rosa Parks Middle School and Thornton High School in Harvey, Illinois. It was at Thornton High School where Harris excelled as a tri-star athlete. Moreover, Napoleon Harris was at great student. He maintained himself as an honor student throughout his academic career.
