Former Massachusetts Education Commissioner, David P. Driscoll, has had a 45 year career in public education and educational leadership. His reform efforts with the Massachusetts education system have led to a consistent annual improvement in student achievement. Currently, Commissioner Driscoll is chair of the National Assessment Governing Board. On July 26, in Des Moines, Commissioner Driscoll spoke at the Iowa Education Summit, conveying how Massachusetts became the top state in education reform and what steps the US is taking to be a globally competitive leader.
